On Thursday, August 8th, GP Nord employees participated in the annual “Ābolēni” camp organized by the “Sūrābele” association, which supports families with chronically ill children. This camp, now a much-anticipated event on family calendars, once again provided children and their parents with unforgettable experiences and countless smiles.
This year’s program was filled with exciting activities that engaged participants of all ages. In the creative workshops, children eagerly made rainbow cloud paper crafts and created ice creams with berries, enjoying not only the joy of making something but also the chance to craft something themselves. The inflatable castle, set up in the campgrounds, became one of the most popular attractions, offering the children endless fun and laughter. The day culminated in a party where everyone danced together until dusk.
A special highlight was the motorcycle rides provided by CMALatvia, a Christian motorcyclist association. This experience not only gave the children a rush of adrenaline but also a taste of adventure. The evening concluded in a warm and friendly atmosphere around the campfire, where we sang, danced, and simply enjoyed each other’s company.
The event’s participants—children, youth, their families, and friends—once again gained positive emotions that will surely remain in their memories for a long time. GP Nord is delighted to continue its collaboration with the “Sūrābele” association, fostering a warm and supportive environment for children with chronic illnesses, giving them the opportunity to enjoy adventures and fun alongside their loved ones.
We believe that such shared activities help strengthen not only the children but also the unity and optimism of their parents and friends.
