GP Nord Asia team visits CPHI & PMEC Shenzhen

At the beginning of September, GP Nord’s Asia Business Manager Lisa Tran and Procurement Specialist Amy Nguyen attended CPHI & PMEC Shenzhen – one of the largest pharmaceutical industry exhibitions in Asia. For our company, this was the very first time taking part in such a major event in China, and it opened up many new opportunities for collaboration and a deeper understanding of this dynamic market.

Why Shenzhen?

China is currently one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing pharmaceutical markets. With more than 600 exhibitors and over 15,000 visitors from 60+ countries, CPHI & PMEC Shenzhen is where industry leaders, innovators, and companies come together to explore opportunities and build global partnerships.

For GP Nord, a company focused on supplying a wide range of pharmaceutical and healthcare products with strict attention to quality and safe logistics, this exhibition was especially valuable. It allowed us to connect our expertise in compliance and distribution with the scale, innovation, and momentum of the Chinese market.

Three days – endless opportunities

Our team spent three inspiring and productive days in Shenzhen, filled with meetings, networking, and discussions about future projects. We explored the latest technologies and solutions – from active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturing to advanced packaging and biotech innovations.

This experience gave us not only a broader view of the market but also concrete contacts with potential partners, with whom we already see the possibility of building closer cooperation. Most importantly, it confirmed that GP Nord can be a valuable bridge between Asian manufacturers and European clients, ensuring collaboration that is safe, efficient, and sustainable.

Impressions from Lisa Tran

“This was an unforgettable journey – both professionally and personally. We not only met many potential partners but also experienced firsthand how dynamic and innovative the Chinese pharmaceutical industry has become. What inspired me most was the openness to collaboration and the genuine interest in working with European companies. I am convinced this is just the first chapter in our cooperation story with businesses in the region,” says Lisa Tran.

Looking ahead

For us, attending CPHI & PMEC Shenzhen is about more than just being present at an exhibition. It is about broadening our horizons, building meaningful partnerships, and laying the foundation for long-term cooperation.

We see this step as part of a broader strategy:

  • helping Asian companies access European markets by ensuring compliance with the highest quality standards,
  • and at the same time giving our European clients access to innovative, competitive solutions from China and the wider Asian region.

We believe this experience will help us grow together with our partners in Asia and deliver even greater value to our clients in Europe and beyond.
