At GP Nord, we often talk about reliability, determination, and the ability to achieve ambitious goals. These are not just values written on paper – they are principles we strive to live by both at work and beyond. This summer, GP Nord’s management representatives, Edgars Bruziks and Toms Zeltins, demonstrated exactly that by taking part in the 9th Velorealitāte, one of the most unique and demanding cycling adventures in the Baltics.
Over the course of 22 hours, Edgars and Toms covered approximately 350 kilometres, riding across roads, gravel sections, and forest trails in both Latvia and Estonia. It was never about speed or finishing position. Instead, it was about endurance, mutual support, and the determination to keep moving forward, even when fatigue was already suggesting it was time to stop.

Velorealitāte is far from a traditional cycling race. Every year, the organisers prepare a route with several checkpoints while allowing participants to choose their own way between them. This year, the adventure started in Madona, continued through Silmači, climbed to Suur Munamägi, the highest peak in the Baltics, then led riders through Kuprava and Lubāna before returning to the finish in Madona. Depending on the route chosen, participants covered between 334 and 384 kilometres. There is no single correct route – you have to plan, navigate, adapt, and make decisions throughout the entire journey. Sometimes that means riding extra kilometres; other times, it leads to unexpected surprises. That is exactly what makes the event such a personal experience for every participant.
The same is true in business. There is rarely only one right path. Success requires making decisions, working together, adapting to changing circumstances, and never losing sight of the final goal. These are qualities that define the GP Nord team, and it is rewarding to see them reflected not only in our daily work but also in sporting challenges.
The past few months have been particularly active for GP Nord. The company has reached new growth records, completed the move to its new office in Mārupe, and continues working on the next stages of its development. During periods like these, physical activity is a great way to recharge and prepare for the challenges ahead.
GP Nord has always encouraged an active lifestyle and believes that a healthy balance between work and personal life helps people achieve their best results. That is why our team enjoys seeing colleagues and company leaders not only in meeting rooms, but also on bicycles, running trails, and in other sporting activities.
The entire team congratulates Edgars and Toms on completing Velorealitāte. Covering 350 kilometres in 22 hours is an impressive achievement, but even more importantly, it reminds us that the biggest goals are reached one step at a time – or, in this case, one pedal stroke at a time.
